Other Jews pray regularly for the coming of a messiah, the resurrection of the dead, and a place in the world to come. Historical Jewish beliefs have also included a shadowy Hades-like underworld called She'ol, and even reincarnation! How have Jewish beliefs about what might happen after we die evolved over the centuries? And what can these beliefs teach us about the human condition while we are still here?
