Begun as a journalistic investigation by ProPublica, and joined by many others, this film is an effort to track hate crimes including the white supremacists and neo-Nazis involved in the 2017 Charlottesville Unite the Right rally. It reveals just how ill-prepared law enforcement was to handle an influx of white supremacists from across the country and shows how the number of these organizations they found is startling. Jay Sorkin leads a discussion following the screening. (2025, R, 54m)
