Contemporary Short Stories (Online)

« back to classes page
The trick to understanding and appreciating short stories is to read them at least twice. Only then are you able to marvel at the world and situation that the author has created in just a few pages. The stories in The Penguin Book of the Modern American Short Story were originally published between 1970 and 2020. The class discusses one story each week, chosen and led by that week’s leader.
