Explore some of Chicago’s most distinctive creative spaces with Cathy Holleb. Spend the day in Ravenswood, a former industrial corridor transformed into a vibrant community of artists and independent makers. Step inside a fiber?arts studio specializing in fine hand?spun work, then meet a printmaker dedicated to preserving the craft of letterpress using antique presses. Continue to the historic Deagan Building, once a musical instrument factory, now alive with artists, crafters, and small businesses, and learn its story while visiting working studios. The day concludes at Loyola University’s lakefront Madonna della Strada Chapel, a stunning architectural gem. Lunch is at Rojo Gusano, a popular Mexican eatery in the neighborhood. Entrance fees, donations, lunch, transportation, and guide services are included.
