Jay Sorkin stays in 1947 with Crossfire, a film noir drama, that deals with the theme of antisemitism, homophobia, and racism of the time. It was based on the 1945 novel The Brick Foxhole by screenwriter and director Richard Brooks. Crossfire is about a crusading district attorney who investigates the murder of a Jewish man.
