Norman Lear is known for some of the most iconic television shows in history. He also was one of the most groundbreaking producers by showing America the prejudices and bigotry embedded in the country. The most obvious example is his character Archie Bunker from the series All in the Family. David Chack discusses Lear's background, and how that influenced the television programming he pioneered. He eventually partnered with Rob Reiner to create work that deepened our love for the movies. He was an extraordinarily creative success and a great friend to many in the Hollywood community.
